IS A ROLLER DERBY ATHLETICS MEMBERSHIP RIGHT FOR ME?
Below you’ll find pricing info & answers to common questions about training with us, with our honest answers. This isn’t for everyone – we want to help you make the right decision.

WHEN DOES THIS START?

We do new member intake 3x per year – fall, winter, and spring. We accept limited numbers to ensure great coaching and support, so intake is open until spaces fill up! You’ll get started right away as soon as you join.

HOW WILL I GET MY TRAINING CONTENT?

All your workouts, warm-ups, stretching, and coach communication will be through the RDA Fitness App. Immediately after joining, we send you a download link for it (Android or iPhone).

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ONLINE FITNESS PROGRAMS?

Everything you’ll do here is derby-specific.  No “bikini body” bullshit, no crunches, and no fucking leg lifts!! We’re here to help you feel and perform better. And our trainers know what that takes, ’cause they’re skaters like you.

The workouts and plans here are challenging but realistic: we know you’re stressing your body at practice and bouts, and we know what that feels like! 

Unlike a lot of online fitness schemes, we’re real people – a small but mighty team of coaches and support crew! We work directly with you to facilitate your success. Can’t wait for you to meet the whole crew Maloik, BadBrand, Mikillya, Jess Bandit, Lilith NoFair, Taco Bruiseday & Ratchet-Face!

WHAT DOES IT COST?

We have two levels of training – Essential is more self-directed, while MVP is customized to your needs and we schedule your workouts for you – no guesswork! 

Both plans renew automatically every 3 months. Full plan details and prices are below.

If you’re looking to see *real results* that will impact your confidence and ability on the track, you CAN do it with RDA. Three months of MVP training with us will run less than most gym memberships, and less than just a couple of sessions with a personal trainer… 

CAN I JUST PAY MONTHLY?

No. Most people realistically won’t see noticeable results in 4 weeks’ time. We ask you to commit to 12 weeks; in turn we commit to helping you succeed however we can.

ARE THERE TEAM DISCOUNTS?

YES! We love teams who train together, & we have so much to offer (private team groups, coach visibility of athlete’s activity, customized team training plans!). Learn more about our team training options.

WHAT IF I'M BRAND NEW TO DERBY OR FITNESS?

No problem. We work with tons of rookie skaters, and help them through their minimum skills requirements! Our videos help teach you proper form, and you won’t need special equipment or a gym.  There’s also tons of peer support in our app and Facebook groups!

I'M A TRAVEL TEAM SUPERSTAR. IS THIS TOO BASIC FOR ME?

We’ve helped train folks at the top levels too! If you want weight training programs and agility / power training, go for the MVP level where we can get more in depth with you. We’ll make sure you’re challenged and seeing results. 

I CAN'T MOTIVATE MYSELF TO EXERCISE. CAN YOU?

If you’re the type of person who needs a scheduled class, a person waiting for you at the gym, or someone shaking a big stick at you, then this probably won’t work for you. If we could reach through your phone and make you exercise, we would. Alas, the tech isn’t quite there yet.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL THIS TAKE?

For MVP plans, we usually schedule 3 workouts per week (plus Derby). You’re free to adjust! Our app is awesome for planning out your week, and you can move workouts around to suit your schedule.

Most workouts are between 20-40 minutes long, and there are lots of short ones that you can do when you’re rushed, or double up in a stack if you’ve got more energy.

IS THIS LEGIT?

Dude. It’s legit. Our trainers have been part of the derbs community as both players and trainers since 2013.

But we’d rather you hear it from our awesome members than from me: 

WHAT IF I WANT A REFUND?

If you don’t feel that you have received great value, or you decide it’s just not for you, cancel within 21 days and I’ll refund 100% of your fee.  We can count on one hand the number of times this has been requested (going back to 2013!)

DO I NEED A GYM OR OTHER GEAR?

You don’t. If you’re a busy mom trying to cram in a workout in the living room while the toddler’s napping, we’ve totally got you covered.

On the other hand, if you’re a gym-lover we’ve definitely got stuff for you too.

It’s handy to have access to a yoga mat and some stretchy tubing / therabands.

HOW WILL I GET MY TRAINING CONTENT?

I LIVE OUTSIDE THE USA - CAN I DO THIS?

We’ve trained skaters on every continent including, for real, Antarctica. Here’s a partial list:
