Protein Taste Test #1: Vegan

Posted on: August 10th 2014

In our last few posts, we’ve been talking about protein pretty extensively, and Lilith NoFair has been giving you the cold hard facts on protein and supplements… but what about the taste?

NoFair has conscripted some of her TCRD teammates to be our guinea pigs and taste test some vegan protein powder options – so that YOU don’t have to :)

Check out the results here!

  1. My favorite is Sun Warrior blend proteins. I use it in my daily smoothie. But it is also good with water or juice or milk… I also tested the chocolate and vanilla but I prefer the natural because the neutral taste goes with everything.

Ingredients: Proprietary Protein Blend (Raw Organic Pea Protein, Raw Cranberry Protein, Raw Organic Hemp Seed Protein), Medium Chain Triglycerides from Coconut

    1. I tried the natural for the first time the other day and, for a vegan protein, it wasn’t too bad. I found the natural had an almost caramel-y taste, and wasn’t too thick. Definitely worth a shot!
