					<description><![CDATA[Thank you so much for caring about this. I&#039;m a nurse practitioner and former derby girl. I quit playing roller derby a few years ago because of how much it was negatively impacting my brain. I never had a down and out black out concussion - just repeated stuns to the head at practice. The impact was undeniable. My cognition was impaired for hours after each hard hitting practice/bout. Four years later and my brain still isn&#039;t quite the same. I miss derby all the time but for me it&#039;s not worth the risk anymore. I&#039;m so glad I stopped when I did - one more good hit and I could have been in serious trouble. So glad to see discussion about this issue. Thank you.]]></description>
