Our workouts together will focus on lower body strength, off-skate movements that mirror on-skate technique, and will build into high intensity interval and plyometric training to take your skating to the next level.

Best For: Any fitness level. Great for newer skaters, skaters trying to improve at the 27-in-5 test, and athletes returning from injury or absence. If your coach is always telling you to “get lower” – this will help!!

    I do a lot of strength training and participate in strongwoman events so, I know the importance of a well prepared training program. I was introduced to derby and decided to give it a shot. I immediately searched around for something to help me on my journey into the world of 27/5. After trying a few of the free work outs, I knew Roller Derby Athletics would be the support I needed. My first choice was the RDA StrideBuilder program and I could not be happier. It is a clear, concise, step by step guide on how to get stronger and faster which yielded incredible results. The videos were very helpful and the progression from one week to the next was smooth and attainable.     I started doing the free workouts on Roller Derby Atheletics and noticed a difference in my training, strength and energy almost straight away. I knew with my next test coming up and not making the 27 in 5 that I needed a bit of a boost in my crossover technique, strength and general fitness. So, I started this program. I’ve only been doing this program for 2 weeks and I’ve already seen such a huge difference! I’ve gone from 17 laps to 23 laps in the space of 3 weeks, thanks to this program. The program is clear, and works you hard, with good changes in intensity from week to week, session to session. I found it challenging and rewarding. I unfortunately have had to postpone my training due to illness, but I’m excited to get back into it! I woulf highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to improve their laps, strength or technique.
